CRSS01 CRKT Slide Sharp Knife Sharpen

First off, let me say, I like CRKT Knives. I own several and think they provide good value for the money. Unfortunately, I cannot say that for the Slide Sharp Knife Sharpener. It is the worst sharpening system I have ever come across, total garbage. CRKT should do their reputation a favor, buy all these things back from their customers and destroy them. I am giving this product One Star only because I can't give it a zero.

In use one of these on a regular basis to maintain kitchen knives, primarily. These are round stick, so the cover a small surface area. With highly angled blade, these work extremely well as a flat surface does not conform with the multiple angles. Is it the next best thing to sliced bread--no. It is good for regular maintenance and at a reasonable price. I have put through knives from the kitchen, hunting straight blades and folders. This has its place in your arsenal. I have Japanese wet stones for certain applications, Norton stones where needed and an old shaving stone I also use. My knives I actively use range from production Kershaw's and SOG's to custom spec straight blades.
