Very Bright Keychain Light
This rides on every keychain in the house. It's small, easy to use (just one mode, on), and bright. The 10-lumen claim may not seem much, but it's focused enough to light up the ground of an already-lit room. It runs on four LR41 (also called AG3) batteries, which are dirt-cheap from any dollar store or on the web. Twist to turn on, twist to turn off.
